This is a busy week on my blog so I'm posting my Technique Junkies' post today rather than tomorrow.
One of my cousins passed away a week ago. Technically she was a second cousin, but she and her two sisters and my sister and I were all about the same age - stair steps - so she seemed more like a first cousin. I have fond memories of the five of us as youngsters. One of our favorite things to do was to gather on the floor of her parents' living room to play a competitive game of spoons.
As an adult Patty followed her career dreams to be a college professor while married to her sweetheart of a guy. They raised three great kids. Through it all, Patty was one of the happiest individuals I've ever known. You'd never see her without a smile on her face and a sweet word on her lips.
Patty had a sudden heart attack while in the hospital for a fairly routine procedure and left us much too quickly. She will be greatly missed because when one is much loved, one's passing is much grieved.
My thoughts are especially with her husband, their three children, her two sisters, and the many MANY more who knew and loved Patty.
