Hot Mess - October 2024

It's the 12th of October, time to get messy. (insert deer-in-the-headlight look) As you likely recall from previous 12ths, I am not one who likes messes. Not one bit. BUT a challenge is only a challenge if it stretches you, and I'm up for the Hot Mess Success Challenge.

Barb, Carol, Darlene, Terry, and I create cards for the Hot Mess Success challenge each month and share them on the 12th.

It's Anything Goes - as long as there is something messy involved.

The messiness of this month's card was a matter of trial until I finally gave up and said it was good enough.

I started with a piece of Main Street Wall Creations Peel and Stick Removable Tile Decal that I purchased at our local Dollar Tree. I first tried blending Taylored Expressions Cherry Pop ink onto it. That resulted in minimal success and a lot of mess.

I decided I wanted it to have variances in color so I swiped a Taylored Expressions Dragon Fruit ink pad across the surface and waited, hoping it would dry.

It didn't, and time was running out so I finally gave up and used a tissue to blend that color into the tile. That's when I decided it would have to be good enough and completed my card.

Maybe next month I'll try using the Lunar Paste that Darlene is so fond of. Time will tell.

Be sure to check out the other Hot Mess gals blogs, too, to see their cards (you'll be WOW'd!)...

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
