It's the 12th of January, time to get messy. (insert deer-in-the-headlight look) As you likely recall from previous 12ths, I am not one who likes messes. Not one bit. BUT a challenge is only a challenge if it stretches you, and I'm up for the Hot Mess Success Challenge.
Barb, Carol, Darlene, Terry, and I create cards for the Hot Mess Success challenge each month and share them on the 12th.
It's Anything Goes - as long as there is something messy involved. This month's messiness was ink blending (I always get the ink on my fingers) and some Creative Expressions Gilding Polish, too. My friends and I were texting about the Creative Expressions products a few days ago and since I had some that had gone un-used for quite some time, I thought I'd give it a try this month.
The embossing folder I used was one I've received as a guest designer for Spellbinders. It's called Lush Leaves.
I took a piece of white CS and blended three colors of green onto it. I then ran it through the machine with the embossing folder. The Creative Expressions Gilding Polish was blended onto the raised areas.

How great is this?!! What a beautiful embossing of the leaves, and the gilding polish on top is amazing. Lovely card!
Such a dramatic card Jeanette with that stunning die cut and fabulous background- and your messy play gave an awesome result.
Blessings
Maxine
This is such a sweet card. I just pulled out a Spellbinders Poinsettia folder earlier today to use some of my new pastes with it. We shall see!
