It's the 13th of July, which means I was supposed to post my Hot Mess card yesterday, but I had a DT commitment on my blog yesterday so I'm a day late.
Barb, Carol, Darlene, Terry, and I create cards for the Hot Mess Success challenge each month and share them on the 12th.
It's Anything Goes - as long as there is something messy involved.
Last month, I ended up with an "extra" messy piece that I said I'd use at some point. You can find that blog post --> HERE.
I did decide to add some more mess to the piece, though. I took a disposable cup and pressed the cup into a Metallic Gold ink pad, gathering ink on the rim, which I then "stamped" randomly on my altered piece of paper. That didn't add enough for my liking, so I took another cup and added some dark gray ink.
Papers: Accent Opaque 120# White, FSJ Watermelon Fusion and Recollections Black CS and Canson Cold Press Watercolor Paper
Messy Medium: Ken Oliver Powders (Lemon Yellow, Marigold, and Peony) and Inks (Encore Metallic Gold and Versafine Clair Morning Mist)
Dies: Unity Deckle and Stithes
Embellishments: Eyelet Outlet Enamel Dots
Love how you 'redeemed' this Jeanette - the circles are a great addition to the background, and the large sentiment is perfect over it

Very impressive! I love the bright colors of the background. Then creating the circles of gold and gray with a cup rim is inspired! Nicely done! This truly is a success.
ReplyDeleteThis card is so creative! I love the colors of the background and using the rim is GENIUS!!!!
