CYS Something That Flies

One of my favorite challenge groups is the Challenge Your Stash group on SCS, under the capable and organized leadership of my friend Barb. The idea is we can't shop for anything when making our monthly challenge card (which we post on the 28th of each month).

We take turns choosing the theme. This month it was Maggie's turn. She challenged us to use an image of a fairy or something that flies. I am so thankful she included the phrase "or something that flies" as I don't like fairies nor own any fairy stamps that I am aware of. I remember years and years ago, one of the on-going swaps I was in (Sisterhood of the Traveling Cards) had a fairy theme and I had a rough time figuring out how to make that work.

But I digress.

The point of this blog post is to share the something that flies card that I made. Birds!

These bird stamps were actually part of the swag bag of goodies that I received when I attended Barb's retreat in April. Rubbernecker (who is now Brass & Bliss) donate a LOT of stamps and we each were blessed to receive 10+ of them. Such generosity!!!

I tried something a bit different with my Hello die. I cut the pieces out using paint samples. The teal background cut fun, but the yellow hello did not. I ended up tossing the hello and cutting it again with a scrap of yellow cardstock.

I had so much fun making this card and hope Maggie, Barb and the other Challenge Your Stash gals like my card.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

What fabulous images Jeanette, and I love how you have used them here on this colourful and cheerful card. I also don't use fairies in card making.
Blessings
