It's posting day for the Creative Crew. What exactly is the Creative Crew? We are a group of 7 card-making friends from various US locations who have a fun monthly creative adventure with a secretive twist.
Each round lasts 9 months. The first and last month of the round Barb and I come up with a theme and everyone uses their own supplies. The other months one of the group's members hosts. As host, she chooses a theme and then sends each of the group members a theme-appropriate image and some designer paper. The host can also include a sentiment and/or special item if she chooses to do so. The group members all receive the same items, but there is to be no conversation about what was received or the cards we're making. Then, on the 15th of the month, we all reveal our cards.
This is the last month of this round. Barb and I decided to have a color/sketch challenge. Barb randomly selected a color card from her Color Cube.
When I first saw the colors my mind immediately went BEACH! That was a month ago. By the time I got around to making my card, I went a totally different direction. LOL!
I drew up a sketch.
Here's my card:

I love this card. The blue is so rich and regal. Plus, the colors of the patterned paper fit perfectly with the color cube. I "borrowed" the color and sketch pictures from your blog as I did not save mine--I hope you do not mind. I knew you would post them! Thanks for such a fun challenge this month!
Love the coffee theme. Great minds think alike. Perfect card for the challenge this month. Thanks to you and Barb.
Oooh!!! Love the gorgeous coffee cup! I think your coffee theme is wonderful. I was at the beach, LOL Thanks for such a great sketch this month!
Love the way you initial idea changed so drastically, Jeanette. You have created a wonderful card, and I must say I enjoy the punny sentiment
Blessings
