It's the 12th of March, time to get messy. (insert deer-in-the-headlight look) As you likely recall from previous 12ths, I am not one who likes messes. Not one bit. BUT a challenge is only a challenge if it stretches you, and I'm up for the Hot Mess Success Challenge.
Barb, Carol, Darlene, Terry, and I create cards for the Hot Mess Success challenge each month and share them on the 12th.
It's Anything Goes - as long as there is something messy involved.
I decided to try adding Lunar Paste very gently to ONLY the raised portion of a gorgeous panel that I had embossed using the Altenew Whimsical Bouquet embossing folder.
Total Fail! I did not have a light enough touch and the Lunar Paste went places it shouldn't go so I ended up covering the entire panel with Lunar Paste.
Sooo... I tried something different.
Plan B wasn't much better. I dabbed a rumpled up baby wipe into Lunar Paste and spread it all over another embossed panel. The coverage is a bit more subtle, but still not what I had envisioned.
In retrospect, I think I probably should have ditched the dauber and simply used my fingertip to apply the Lunar Paste, to achieve the desired lighter touch. But those two attempts were mess enough for me for one day. Maybe next time.

3D Embossing Folder: Altenew Whimsical Bouquet

These are lovely! Don't tell anyone they are failed attempts, no one would ever know! I have not had good luck either with daubers and Lunar Paste. Using my finger is a good idea! Maybe next month LOL At any rate, your two cards are beautiful!
I love both of these. I see absolutely nothing wrong with either one! I will give this a try later this week and I sure hope my cards come out as pretty as these two!
