It's posting day for the Creative Crew. What exactly is the Creative Crew? We are a group of 7 card-making friends from various US locations who have a fun monthly creative adventure with a secretive twist.
One of the group's members hosts each month. As host, she chooses a theme and puts together theme appropriate kits, which she mails to the other members, keeping one for herself, too. The group members all receive the same kit, but there is to be no conversation about the kit or the cards we're making. Then, on the 15th of the month, we all reveal our cards.
It's always fun to see how each person uses the kit.
This month it was Darlene's turn to host. She chose the theme...
Non-Traditional Christmas Colors
This is what was in Darlene's kit:
Two card bases from an ancient pack called Country Patchwork by Making Memories.
DP from the pack called Ink Drops - Dusk by Craft Consortium. I trimmed the papers to 5 ¼ x 4 and then included the trimmed scraps for your use.
The images are All Together Holiday by Taylored Expressions. They are stamped with “INTENS-ified Black” by Hero Arts ink. This is waterproof and made for alcohol markers.
Ribbons are all from Darlene’s Big Box of Ribbons.
Adhesive gems are from The Paper Studio.
White flowers for you to color if you wish are by Prima.
Sequins are from Close to My Heart.
THANK YOU, Darlene!
Here's my card:
I normally wouldn't tear up an embellishment, but I thought part of this ribbon from Darlene's kit would make a pretty bow, so I unraveled it:
And it DID make a fun little bow:
Jeanette - that's me
Lorraine - SCS Gallery
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
The only things I used other than what was in Darlene's kit was a sentiment (Taylored Expressions Simple Strips Christmas stamp/die), cardstock for card base and small elements (Recollections White and SU Misty Moonlight), and dies (Gina K Master Layouts 2 and Paper Roses Card Creator Windows 2).

I absolutely LOVE your card. It is so creative how you placed the little images among the shapes of cardstock. You highlighted the fun background. Sweet Bow too! You rocked this!!!!!!
Wow, wow, WOW!!! Such creativity, you put my card to shame! I like the ribbon much better used this way. And cutting small rectangles and making the background is genius! You sure outdid yourself with this challenge!
Pure genius to tear up that ribbon and make the bow. I love your card with all the different squares. Really made the images pop.
