I started a new series on my blog in July of 2021. The idea was born from the fact that I have a lot of unused card/stamping kits just waiting to have some attention. Sheesh! Seems as though I buy them and they just sit. That just shouldn't be so I'm going to commit to using a kit once a month for this "From a Kit" series.
As I mentioned in my May 2023 blog posts, the only "kits" I have left (after completing the first 21) are SEVERAL Stampin' UP! Paper Pumpkin kits. I also mentioned that I've discovered I'm not really very fond of the card designs found in the Paper Pumpkin kits... so I decided IF I'm going to use those Paper Pumpkin kits that I've invested in, I'll need to veer away from the designs as they appear in the kits. So here we go, with my first of many Paper Pumpkin kits.
This month I made four cards using the Paper Pumpkin Hey There Try It Kit. I've had this kit a very V-E-R-Y long time; so long that I didn't remember when/how I got it so I did a little research. What I discovered is this was the first kit everyone received.
It is a much different kit than the Paper Pumpkin kits made today. It only had supplies for four cards. The contents included the usual card bases, envelopes, and stamps as well as a Stampin' Spot ink pad. Other than that the only things in the kit was a sheet of adhesive elements and four buttons.
I used all the supplies and made these four cards...
Truthfully, I was not a fan of this kit. I'm glad it's now off of my shelf (I am donating the stamps and my finished cards to our local thrift store).
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
Well done on facing the kit and getting it done and dusted, even if you are donating everything to your local thrift store :) I think they are acceptable, but this kit is definitely not your 'current' style
