God's Armour

On the 7th of each month, the SCS Crafters of Faith group members share cards made with a common theme, chosen by one of the members. These challenges are inspired by Scripture, though the cards themselves do not have to have a religious theme. I am a day late this month, since I had something else that needed to be posted on my blog yesterday.

Sharon chose our Scripture inspiration and theme this month.

Scripture - Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. (Ephesians 6:11)

Challenge - Be inspired by this verse.

I love this verse but had a really hard time figuring out how to incorporate the meaning of the verse on a card - using what products I have.

Armour is silver - or, at least in my mind it is - so I used silver and black/white as my color scheme. The phrase "Fight on your knees" also seemed to fit because I believe my prayers are my most effective weapon in the battles I face.

The silver papers got roughed up a bit when I ran them through my diecut machine, so I used a file to add a bit more distress to them.

I hope Sharon and the other Crafters of Faith like my card.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
