ONE to See in '23 - May

Normally, if you come to my blog on the 3rd of the month you'll see my card for the One Plus Twelve series. However, yesterday (on the 3rd) you saw a note that said my card would be on my blog today instead. So, as promised, here it is. Kelly came up with the 1 + 12 idea and invited Barb and me to join her. The idea is to use the same ONE stamp (not a set) each month to create a card. Sentiments can be used, too, if we choose. We've had so much fun with this series that we are now in our 5th year.

My ONE stamp this year is a small stamp - a paintbrush from the Waffle Flower Little Painter stamp set.

The layer closest to the card base is actually a piece I found in my Altered Papers scrap drawer. I had done some ink blending with a stencil but then decided against using it.

The half circle piece is layer upon layer of messy artsy stuff - 2 colors of Ken Oliver Color Burst and 3 colors of Technique Junkies Shimmer Bliss that I smooshed onto the paper.

I hope you'll keep an eye out on the 3rd of each month to see how I do with this ONE stamp this year. You'll also be able to see Barb's card on her blog and Kelly's card on Instagram.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
