It's posting day for the Creative Crew. What exactly is the Creative Crew? We are a group of 7 card-making friends from various US locations who have a fun monthly creative adventure with a secretive twist.
One of the group's members hosts each month. As host, she chooses a theme and puts together theme appropriate kits, which she mails to the other members, keeping one for herself, too. The group members all receive the same kit, but there is to be no conversation about the kit or the cards we're making. Then, on the 15th of the month, we all reveal our cards.
It's always fun to see how each person uses the kit.
This month it was Tracie's turn to host. She chose the theme...
May Flowers
In Tracie's words - I was so happy to get the month of May to be the hostess. May is my favorite month of the year. When I was a child we would always celebrate May day (May 1) by taking flowers to the elderly. Such good memories. May brings all kinds of flowers to bloom so I decided my challenge this month would be "May Flowers". In your package, I have stamped an image from Avery Elle called Best of the Bunch using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I also love foxes and immediately fell in love with this stamp. Designer papers are from "New Day" by Echo Park. The flowers are from "Garden Variety" by Taylored Expressions. Ribbon and twine are from my stash. Gems are from Pink Fresh and the buttons are also from my stash. I have been going to our local library and using their flow forge which I used to cut out the bookmarks. I would love to see what you would use if you colored the flowers. I would also love to hear what your favorite flower is. Thanks for taking part in my challenge this month.
THANK YOU, Tracie!
Per Tracie's request - My favorite flower is the sunflower.
Here's my card:
Tracie also included these two gifts in her kit:
Jeanette - that's me
Lorraine - SCS Gallery
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
The only things I used other than what was in Tracie's kit was some cardstock - White for inside and SU Blushing Bride for the card base - and the Stitched Rectangles Dies from My Favorite Things, too.
Such a beautiful card Jeanette. I love how you used the flowers for the bouquet. I love sunflowers also since it is the KS flower. Thanks for doing such a great job with the challenge this month.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a pretty card--I love that you added some of the die cuts over the image. I also did not try to color the bookmark.
ReplyDeleteJeanette what a great card. I love how you used the kit. The layout is perfect. Great job on your card.
