Okay, before we go one sentence further, look at the title of this blog post. Zentangle. Say what? I must live under a rock, but I had absolutely no idea what Zentangle is.
BUT... It's Monday, which means there is a new CAS Challenge on SCS and this week's theme is (you guessed it)...
Zentangle
Yes, I turned to Google and this is what I discovered.
Zentangle is a miniature abstract work of art created by a collection of patterns. It is typically done on a 3 1/2 x 3 1/2" paper "tile" using a pencil and a black pen. The small size allows for a work of art that can be completed in a relatively short period of time.
Interesting.
Then I got busy with other things. One of the extra things that took up my time was participating in the Taylored Expressions Virtual Stamp Joy event. Imagine my surprise when one of the techniques taught sort of resembled Zentangle.
I used the technique which involved ink blending, a stencil, and a black pen for doodling to make my card for this week's CAS Zentangle challenge.
Here's my card:
I hope you'll check out the challenge - HERE - and play along, too.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
