One of the Facebook groups where I hang out has a surprise challenge posted this week - to make a Christmas card using colors that are not normally associated with Christmas.
I still need Christmas cards for the residents of the Assisted Living facility in town (where my Dad lives) so of course I decided to make a card for the challenge.
The colors I used are neutrals and some from what I'd call the turquoise (blue-green) family.
The stamp set - Stampin' UP!'s Vintage Christmas doesn't really make me think of Christmas, other than the sentiments. Is it just me?
Maybe it's because of the color scheme I used. I'm not sure.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

hmm, a lovely card, but it's only the sentiment that keys me into Christmas... love your layering of the 'different' shapes Jeanette - that is really eye catching.
Blessings

I think having this card sitting in the middle of your typical Christmas cards is going to draw the attention of everyone. I think you did a beautiful job with this and met the challenge, head on! The sentiment says it all! Thanks for sharing your beautiful creation!
