Ink Pad Experiment #7

You might recall that I mentioned I was wanting to invest in some colored ink pads, but am not sure what brand I want so I'm testing some to see which brand best meets my needs. If you missed that blog post, you can check it out - HERE

I'm wanting dye inks that blend smoothly with blender brushes but are also suitable for stamping.

For today's card I used the one and only Pink Fresh ink pad that I own - Sparkling Rose.

I blended the ink onto white cardstock using a La La Land stencil (Snowy Hills). I also blended ink onto a scrap piece of white cardstock that I then used to die cut the word hello.

I really like this ink pad. It has a firmer linen layer but what looks like a different kind of layer below it. It held its shape well while I blended ink onto my brush, which makes me think the pad would hold up well over time. The fear I have with foam pads is that the pad itself will break down rather quickly with blending techniques.

I still have a few brands to try before I decide which I like best.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Stamp/Die Set: LDRS Dahlia stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copic Markers

Paper: Hammermill 110# White and SU Basic Black CS and DP from my scrap file

Ink (for blending): Pink Fresh Sparkling Rose

Stencil: La La Land Snowy Hill

Dies: Birch Press Big Hello Sugar Script and MFT Stitched Rectangles

Embellishments: Honey Bee Bubblegum Sequins

This is a wonderful card Jeanette - love the contrast of the graphic background with the soft lines of the flower and word. That is a very pretty pink
