You might have noticed that I've been trying different inks to see which ones I like best with plans to purchase some colored inks at some point in the future. So far I've tried Gina K and Catherine Pooler inks. Tomorrow I'll be sharing a card made using Maker Forte inks. BUT today I want to tell you something I learned about the Maker Forte inks.
I read their description of the Color Hive Ink Pads and was intrigued. It indicated that this line of ink pads is suitable for smooshing, painting, stamping. That they are water reactive. They are supposed to blend beautifully since they stay wet a few seconds... AND they are Copic friendly (they won't bleed or smudge).
Now... I had to test that out as soon as I got my Maker Forte Eclipse Black ink pad.
I was immediately impressed. This wood-mounted stamp was stamped ONE time and look at how crisp and clear the image is.
The real test might be an acrylic stamp... so I gave that a try, too, using my Misti stamping platform.
I chose to stamp the word celebrate a second time (the Misti makes that easy) and am so impressed with how it turned out.Next is the test for coloring with Copics. I will say I didn't color the image until the next day, as I wanted to be sure the ink was completely dry. I doubt that was necessary, but I decided to err on the side of caution.
No bleeding at all!!!

Wow! I saw that stamped image and thought how hard it would be to color those small details, but you nailed it! Beautiful card, and so happy you are loving the inks. Hugs!
I have not heard of this line of inks, so I am happy to hear you love it! This card is so pretty--love the colors and the design for sure!
