Mission Possible 08.13.2022

It's time for another Mission Impossible Possible post. Not sure what that is? It's a series that Kelly, Barb and I have been doing since March of 2020. We take turns choosing an "item" and sending it to the other two with some fun instructions. Kelly hosted this round. This is what she had to say...

Good Day, Ms. Card-Maker.  Your next mission, should you decide to accept it, involves the use of these rainbow tempera paint sticks!  As in the past, you will be working alongside the same two team members. This message will not self-destruct in five seconds, since I have no ability to do that and besides, you might need to refer to it again at some point.  Good Day and Good Luck!

For your mission this month, you've been selected to go beyond the call of M-I-P duty and stretch your creative artistry boundaries!  You have been each given a full set of tempera paint sticks - art in a box!  There are so many ways to use these - I have no doubt you both will be ready, able and willing to complete the (colorful) mission!  I look forward to your posts on (or around) August 13th!

Let me just say - I played and played and played some more with these paint sticks. Some attempts were more successful than others. BUT... the possibilities are endless and I'm certain I will be playing with them some more in the future. Thanks for a GREAT MIP item, Kelly!

For the background (behind the celebrate) I used three different colors of the paint sticks - Light Green, Pink, and Yellow. I also used 3 pieces of clear wrappers (from stamps or such). I smeared one paint stick onto one piece of plastic, added a couple of drops of water and blended the color. I then smooshed it onto cardstock. After it dried I repeated the process (two more times, in fact - once for each color). I liked the look but thought it needed more, so I took the blue paint stick and smeared it onto a piece of plastic adding a few drops of water to get a thin consistency. I then splattered it onto the piece of smooshed paper to add spots of blue.

Be sure to head over to Kelly's blog and Barb's blog to see their cards, too.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
