Hot Mess - Take 37

It's the 12th of August, time to get messy. (insert deer-in-the-headlight look) As you likely recall from previous 12ths, I am not one who likes messes. Not one bit. BUT a challenge is only a challenge if it stretches you, and I'm up for the Hot Mess Success Challenge.

Barb, Carol, Darlene, Kelly, and I create cards for the Hot Mess Success challenge each month and share them on the 12th.

It's Anything Goes - as long as there is something messy involved.

I actually made two cards this month... because... well, just because. LOL!

My messiness began with some Ranger Distress Oxide Inks and some clear blocks. I inked up each block, spritzed it with water and pressed it to heavy cardstock. I made two of these because I wasn't sure whether I liked the first one or not... then I ended up using both of them.

After it had completely dried, I splattered it the pieces with Spellbinders Silk Luster, letting it dry completely before stamped the silhouette flower onto it.

Then it was simply a matter of making  cards.

Be sure to check out the other Hot Mess gals blogs, too, to see their cards (you'll be WOW'd!)...

  1. What a pair of fabulous successes Jeanette - love both of these cards!! I now have a new addiction - DOX inks - I had resisted, but now I am sold after 'playing' with my friends inks
