It's the 12th of May, time to get messy. (insert deer-in-the-headlight look) As you likely recall from previous 12ths, I am not one who likes messes. Not one bit. BUT a challenge is only a challenge if it stretches you, and I'm up for the Hot Mess Success Challenge.
Barb, Carol, Darlene, Kelly, and I create cards for the Hot Mess Success challenge each month and share them on the 12th.
It's Anything Goes - as long as there is something messy involved.
This month I got out some reinkers and some bubble wrap and created some "designer paper" by dabbing the scrunched up bubble wrap into a small puddle of ink and then transferring it to a piece of white cardstock. I repeated the process with each color and then let the paper dry overnight.
The next morning I thought the paper looked kind of dull so I decided to try adding some spray to it - AMuse Marshmallow Splash and Technique Junkies Ocean Depth Shimmer Mist. That helped some, but it still was a bit to dull for my liking. I considered adding clear embossing powder to it but talked myself out of that since I wanted to stamp a silhouette flower directly onto the paper I'd created.
Onward it is.
A few embellishments and a die-cut Hello added to the design.
Here's the inside:
Stamp: Rubbernecker Silhouette Flower #4 stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink
Papers: Accent Opaque 120# White and SU Balmy Blue and Purely Pomegranate CS
Messy Medium: SU Reinkers (Real Red and Tangelo Twist), Sprays (AMuse Marshmallow Splash and Technique Junkies Ocean Depth)
Dies: LDRS A2 Diagonal Stitch and Paper Roses Hello Layered
Embellishments: Eyelet Outlet Matte Enamel Dots and Ribbon from an unknown vendor
