We all tend to invest in what is important to us. One of my friends loves making embellishments and tags so that's what she does. Another invests her time in YouTube. Another loves growing things; another reads, reads, and reads. Me? I'm a cardmaker. I love this outlet... and make at least one card nearly every day.
I think we should all do what we love doing!
My husband loves gardening - and I love eating fresh tomatoes, green beans and more from his garden. I'm so glad that is his hobby. Truth be told, he wanted to be a farmer... then God called him into the ministry, changing the course of his life. It's a good thing. I jokingly tell him I wouldn't have married him if he'd been a farmer. (I'm a self-proclaimed city-slicker.)
BUT I joined together his love for farming/gardening and my love for cardmaking by making a card with the CC Designs Farmer Fred stamp set.
This card is a very special card for another reason, too (as if my husband's love for the soil isn't reason enough, right?). It is my contribution as a guest designer for my friend Becca's Heart's Quest Challenge Blog. When she got in touch with me and invited me to be a guest designer, this is what she said about this week's challenge (actually, 2 weeks, as it's a bi-weekly challenge blog)...
Heart's Quest Love Theme #3 is using the word 'love' (or loves, loved, loving) and a male figure... essentially showing love for a male friend/relative/co-worker, etc.
I hope you'll check out the Heart's Quest Challenge Blog - HERE - and participate in the challenge.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
