It's the 12th of April, time to get messy. (insert deer-in-the-headlight look) As you likely recall from previous 12ths, I am not one who likes messes. Not one bit. BUT a challenge is only a challenge if it stretches you, and I'm up for the Hot Mess Success Challenge.
Barb, Carol, Darlene, Kelly, and I create cards for the Hot Mess Success challenge each month and share them on the 12th.
It's Anything Goes - as long as there is something messy involved.
This month I decided to try out the little bottles of Infusions that I have in my stash. I looked at a couple of videos to see how to prep the bottles and then I just played with them, using more water on some papers; less waters on others. This is the one I ended up liking the best...
The Infusions are very similar to Ken Olivers Color Burst and a few other companies, too. The main difference that I saw is the Infusions have a tad bit of bronze/brown in the mix.
Here's my card:
I was not very happy with the way my card turned out, but I did love playing with the Infusions and will definitely give them a try again.
Papers: Accent Opaque 120# White and SU Cinnamon Cider, Misti Moonlight, Polished Pink, and Rich Razzelberry CS
Messy Medium: Infusions (Black Currant, Royal Blood, and Rusty Car)
Embellishment: Ribbon from an unknown vendor
Wow Jeanette, I love your patience when trying out new things....if it doesn't work the 3rd time I usually throw it and put it aside for another time. Way to go!!! Your card turned out so well I couldn't believe you didn't like it.
ReplyDeleteWOW--what a colorful card. I have never heard of these but you are the creative and persistent lady! Great Job this month!
ReplyDeleteI love playing with my Brushos, which are also pigment powders. That is one stunning background you created, and I love the large leaf die cut!
ReplyDeleteBlessings
