Fridays are special days - who doesn't love TGIF, right? But here on my blog Fridays are also special because they are the day I get to post as a design team member for Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.
I used the new Orcas stamp set today.
You can check out the stamp set in the Blue Knight Rubber Stamps store - HERE.
I was sooooo excited when I saw this stamp. My daughter lives in the bush of Alaska where she teaches in an Eskimo village. This stamp makes me think of her.
Card #1
I used a bit of masking for this card. I cut a circle from Avery Removable Labels to create a mask and began by placing the frame of it onto the stamped image. I created the sun by coloring in that area using yellow Copic markers.
I colored the image and then placed the circle mask over the sun and removed the other mask piece. I colored in the sky using orange Copic markers.
Once this step was finished, it was simply a matter of putting the card together.
Card #2
For this card I stamped the image onto white cardsctock and did a minimal amount of coloring. I then fussy-cut the image at the top of the mountain line.
I used a piece of designer paper for the sky, making this card very easy to make.
I think it's amazing to see how one stamp looks so different depending on how it's used.
