Fridays are special days - who doesn't love TGIF, right? But here on my blog Fridays are also special because they are the day I get to post as a design team member for Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.
I used the new Dictionary Page stamp set today.
You can check out the stamp set in the Blue Knight Rubber Stamps store - HERE.
Card #1
This card also features the Blue Knight Rubber Stamps Tree Swing Stamp.
Since the stamps are both stamped on the same piece of white cardstock, it did take a few steps to achieve the look.
I first used a die to cut the large label onto a piece of Avery Removable Labels (I purchased a whole package of them reasonable on Amazon and use them for masking). Placing the outer piece of the removable mask onto a piece of white cardstock, I then stamped the Tree Swing image onto it.
This allowed me to have the shape I wanted for the image.
I then placed the label portion of the removable mask inside the "frame" and then removed the outer piece so I could stamp the Dictionary Page onto the piece of cardstock.
It's such fun to remove the mask and see the card taking shape.
From there it was simply a matter of coloring the image and blending some ink around the edges of the Dictionary Page to age it a bit. Some dies, and such and the card was finished.
Card #2
On this card I started with a circle mask and kept it in place while stamping both the Dictionary Page and the Blue Knights Rubber Stamps Train Tracks onto the piece of white cardstock.
When the circle mask was removed it left a white circle on the piece.
I think it's amazing to see how one stamp looks so different depending on how it's used.
