Blue Knight - Bark Background

Fridays are special days - who doesn't love TGIF, right? But here on my blog Fridays are also special because they are the day I get to post as a design team member for Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.

I used the new Bark Background stamp set today.

You can check out the stamp set in the Blue Knight Rubber Stamps store - HERE.

This really is an amazing stamp - I have seen some amazing cards made by my fellow design team members. I fear I've failed with it, as I don't like either one of my cards... so please don't judge this stamp by me. Oh... and if you get a chance check out the cards where they turned it on its side and colored it in blue tones - for WATER. WOW! That's what I call creative!

But I digress. Back to my attempts.

Card #1

I love the bark - with some distress inks blended on. It looks so rich. I added some bees from the Blue Knight Rubber Stamps Sunflower Sunshine stamp set and a simple sentiment from the Blue Knight Rubber Stamps Clever Fox stamp set.

Card #2

I tried to create some visual interest by adding the Blue Knight Sweet Adelyn stamp onto the bark, in triangular pieces. I really don't think it worked out the way I'd envisioned, but sometimes a person just needs to try. Right?

I think it's amazing to see how one stamp looks so different depending on how it's used.
