Hot Mess - Take 28

I'm still trying to catch up on some challenges I missed last month. I'm glad my friends (and challenge partners) are so understanding of my tardiness.

Barb, Carol, Darlene, Kelly, Terry and I create cards for the Hot Mess Success challenge each month and share them on the 12th. (No, this isn't November 12th.)

It's Anything Goes - as long as there is something messy involved.

I had BIG hopes for the technique that I used on today's card... but it failed miserably. I watch a technique video for using Simon Says Glitz Glitter Gel with an embossing folder and thought I'd give it a try. Well, let's just say that didn't work like I'd hoped it would. LOL! Perhaps I chose to intricate a design for the embossing folder. I don't know.

The premise is to emboss a piece of cardstock and then use a plastic card to add the Glitz Glitter Gel so that it just stays in the recessed areas. Sounds easy enough, right? At least I can say it was messy.

I ended up covering up most of the piece of embossed/glitzed paper with an image. I thought that was an improvement.

Be sure to check out the other Hot Mess gals blogs, too, to see their cards (you'll be WOW'd!)...

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
