Hot Mess Success - Take 25

This is my last day of playing "Ketchup" from the days I spent lounging sick in bed earlier this month. Today's Hot Mess Success card was actually supposed to be on my blog last Thursday (the 12th) but here it is today.

I've been seeing a lot of things online with paint pouring and wanted to give it a try, so that's what I did for today's card. I'm not sure if this was a good idea or not. The effect looks nice, but even after a few days of drying time, the paint still feels a wee bit tacky, so I'm afraid what will happen if/when I put the card in an envelope. That being said, I had a lot of fun with the messy paint pouring process and kind of like the look of it, too.

I added blobs (do you like my technical term?) of four colors of American Crafts Color Pour Magic Paint onto a piece of heavy white CS and then tilted and turned it until the surface was mostly covered. I set it aside to dry and came back to it a couple of days later to create the card.

I was a bit nervous about die-cutting the piece, fearing it might tear the painted paper, but it didn't.

There is no stamping on my card - I only used dies. Oh, and the fun little purple dragonfly brad.

If you haven't checked them out yet, please check out Barb's and Kelly's Hot Mess blog posts, too. They are both so very creative!

WOW - Jeanette this is gorgeous - love your colours and how you moved the paint. The simple die cuts and brad, to finish the card are perfect
