Each month we each choose one stamp set from a pre-determined stamp company and make two cards using it. At least one thing has to be seen on both cards (color, embellishment, stamp, etc.). We post on a double-digit day each month, too - the 22nd. Today is the day!
This month's company is Altenew, and I can't be any more excite. I love Altenew stamps and own quite a few. After much consideration, I finally decided to use the Sweet Flowers stamps set, partly because I also own the coordinating die set and thought that gave me more options.
The main reason I chose it, though, is because it gave me the option for coloring the image or stamping the colors. You'll notice that I did one of each on my cards.
Card #1
(Stamped Version)
Card #2
(Colored with Copic Markers)
I used basically the same layout for both cards and the same color of card base and embellishments. I did switch things up a bit, too. On Card #1 I used a background die and on Card #2 I used an embossing folder. I also use slightly different colors on the flowers.
Be sure to check out Barb's blog, Kelly's blog, and Carol's blog to see their Double Duty posts, too.
Thank you for stopping by my blog today!
