Praise God for Motherhood

The Crafters of Faith group on SCS has a monthly theme/challenge. Each month one of the members chooses a Scripture verse and a theme related to it and we all create cards/projects based on that theme. The posting date is the 7th of the month, but I'm a day late since I'm a guest designer for Blue Knight Rubber Stamps this month and yesterday was my scheduled posting date for that.

Sue is this month's hostess. Here is her Scripture and theme...

Scripture: Philippians 4:4-7 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. the Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Challenge: Make a card or project to show rejoicing in God. It could be your own praises for something that happened or didn't happen in your life.

At first I wasn't sure what direction to go with Sue's theme, then I had an Aha moment. As far back in my childhood as I can remember, I wanted to be a mother. I can remember people asking me what I wanted to be when I grew up and my quick response was always "A mother!" I rejoice that God granted the desire of my heart by giving me three wonderful children. I love each one of them dearly and am thankful to be their mother.

I hope Sue and the other Crafters of Faith like my card.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

  1. Happy Mother's Day! Motherhood was my ultimate dream growing up, also. My dad was an engineer and he would give me large rolls of paper that his drafters used and I would draw interior design layouts of homes with many bedrooms because I wanted a lot of kids. What a wonderful challenge! I've been on SCS since 2004 (cnsteele) and never knew of this one. You have a wonderful talent for cardmaking and a passion for it that is evident!
