This is the third Wednesday of May, which means it is the day that Kelly, Barb, and I reveal our Ready, Set, Go cards.
Not sure what Ready, Set, Go is? Well, it's a lot of fun! And a bit of creativity. And an extreme challenge theme.
Ready, Set, Go is an idea that Kelly came up with and she invited Barb and I to join her on the adventure. We take turns choosing the theme (this month it's Barb's turn), but the idea is for it to be a bit more challenging than just the average theme.
Barb looked to see what May 19th was known for and discovered that Ringling Brothers Circus premiered on this date in 1884. Keeping that in mind she gave us these challenge instructions...
Your challenge for May is to make a card with an animal or two or more—circus animals are a plus, but any animal on your card will work. The challenge is that the animal needs to move! The thrill of the circus is seeing the dogs on the bikes, or the elephants stand on the platform or lions and tigers jumping through hoops. So, visualize that circus tent and watch the animals move!
I didn't find anything very circus'y in my stash so decided to go with the circus pet instead - an adorable dog. But not just any dog; it's a dog with a wobbly (moving) head.
In retrospect I should have colored my dog a darker color so he/she would show up through the fence slats. Oh well. Too late now.
Be sure to check out Barb's blog and Kelly's blog to see what they did with this Ready Set Go theme!
