Blue Knight Guest Designer 5.7.2021

I have been anxiously awaiting this day for nearly a month. That is a long time to wait to tell you the exciting news. I was contacted by Lynn, the owner of Blue Knight Rubber Stamps with an invite to serve as a Guest Designer for the month of May. Of course, I eagerly JUMPED at the opportunity, in part because I have long admired the beautiful cards featuring Blue Knight Rubber Stamps that Shirley Qu posts on Facebook.

As a guest designer, I'll feature a different Blue Knight Rubber Stamps stamp set on a minimum of two cards each Friday this month. Today's stamp set is a beauty - it's called Peaceful Retreat.

Photo Collage provided by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps

For these two cards I did what I love most to do with card making - I colored the gorgeous scene with Copic Markers, but I chose different color schemes for the two cards.

Sunset/Sunrise Card

I would love to be sitting in that chair and watching the colors in the distance across the lake.

These are the colors I used to color the scene:

Clear Skies Card

Since the skies are clear, I went with brighter colors for this scene.

The sentiment on this card is from the Blue Knight Rubber Stamps Mini Greetings 1 stamp set.

These are the colors I used on this card:

I think it is amazing how different a stamp/image can look, simply based on the colors used.
