My friend Kelly (and her son) came up with a great idea for a card series last year and she invited Barb and me to join her in the adventure - called Stamp What?
The name *Stamp What?* comes from using only STAMPin' Up stamps for this challenge and never knowing WHAT it will be!
Recognizing that we all have stamp sets that are just collecting dust, this series nudges us into using some of them. Twelve of them, to be exact - one each month. We are to either have someone choose one for us or we are to randomly select one of our older Stampin' UP! stamp sets and create a card using it, that we then share on our blogs on the 10th of each month.
We had so much fun with this series last year (and still have lots of dusty stamp sets) so we're doing it again this year.
I numbered my wood-mounted (aka older) SU stamp sets and used a random number generator to choose the stamp set to use this month... A Merry Season, circa 2001.
I'm drawn to snowmen stamps so when I saw this set for sell (second hand) at a good price, I grabbed it. It is well-loved so I'm glad it's the one I randomly chose for this month's Stamp What? post.
I decided to use the Dirty Dozen March 2021 Christmas Challenge Sketch to make the card.
The Merry Christmas strip is actually a piece of ribbon. I thought it worked well, adding a sentiment via an embellishment.
Be sure to head over to Kelly's blog and Barb's blog to see what stamp set they've used this month - and of course to admire their creativity.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
Stamp Set: Stampin' UP A Merry Season stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copic Markers
Papers: Cougar 110# White and SU Garden Green and Real Red CS and DP from my scrap file
Die: SU Circles
Embellishment: Ribbon from an unknown vendor
How adorable and great use of the dirty girl sketch! And of course your signature ribbon with a merry Christmas is just perfect! Thanks for joining me this month with my son’s “old dusties” challenge!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet image Jeanette, and i love the way you have mounted him using the sketch. The 'sentiment' ribbon is perfect
