Last March I debuted a quarterly adventure called Mission
They both wanted to continue on with this adventure in 2021, but we've changed things up a bit this year. First, we three are taking turns sending the "secret" item to the other two... and since there are only three of us, instead of this being a quarterly post, it will happen once in each four-month period.
This time Kelly chose our "secret" item and sent it along with these instructions...
Good day, Ms. Card-Maker. You did an outstanding job in 2020 with your missions and are to be commended!
You did such a great job, you are being hired for missions again in 2021. :)
Your next mission, should you choose to accept it, involves the use of the stencil in this package. You may use any stamps or other supplies from your stash with it, just make sure the stencil is the focal part of your card. You and the other two team members (the same ones you worked with last year) will determine the date to execute the mission.
This message will not self-destruct in five seconds, since I have no ability to do that and besides, you might need to refer to it again at some point.
Good day, Ms. Card-Maker... and Good Luck!
What's the secret item? What stencil did Kelly choose??? The Pretty Pink Posh Birthday Background stencil.
I didn't want to compromise Kelly's instructions by adding too much, thus making it where the use of the stencil was not the focal point of my card... so my card is pretty simple.
The three colors of Ranger Distress inks blended so nicely - I love how bright the colors look.
On my first attempt, after ink-blending, I added so sparkle paste. Oh my! That did not go well. It just look pathetic... so I threw it away and tried again. Note to self: do not add sparkle. LOL!
I do see A LOT of potential in this stencil and anticipate you'll see it again and again on my cards.
Please be sure to head over to Kelly's blog and Barb's blog to see their cards, too.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
