Stamp What? When I Grow Up

Kelly, Barb, and I have been doing a monthly challenge this year. It's an idea that Kelly came up with (with some help from her son) and invited Barb and I to join her in. You know that stack of stamps you have that you have never used or haven't used in a LONG time and are sitting on a shelf, collecting dust?  It's time for us to take one down off the shelf and use it!  But which one?  The name *Stamp What?* comes from using only STAMPin' Up stamps for this challenge and never knowing WHAT it will be! Even we won't know which one it will be ~ it's chosen at random either by someone for us or by number generator.  (I used a number generator to determine which one to use). Since it's chosen at random, it will be a surprise, even to us!

Stamp What?!!

I had 24 of the older (wood-mounted) SU stamp sets at the beginning of the year (I've since purged some more of them) so I numbered them and then let a random number generator choose this month's stamp set - When I Grow Up, circa 2005. This is a set I've actually used again and again, but it's been a while, and more times than not I've used the little boy image. This time I changed things up a bit and went with the little girl.

She brings back fond memories of times spent at Grandma's house. She had a box of old clothes that she let me use for dress up. Such fun! Of course at that age it wasn't unusual for me to wear mis-matched colors/designs and think it was the most gorgeous outfit ever.

Oh, and another fond memory at Grandma's house was the Sear catalog (okay, I'm dating myself). She would let me have the outdated one and a pair of scissors. I'd spend hours creating my own paper dolls, houses, etc.

Be sure to head over to Kelly's blog and Barb's blog to see what stamp they've used this month - and of course to admire their creativity.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Such an adorable image. I don't know how I let that one get by me so long ago. Great card layout.
