Dainty Flowers and Birthday Wishes

It's interesting to me the different processes we use when creating a card. We each have our own norm, right? For me, I normally start with a theme, but the first thing I do is choose what stamp I'll use and then I go from there. I used to choose papers before coloring and match my color choices to the papers, but for the past couple of years I've switched and I color and then choose the papers. Usually my embellishments are the last thing I choose.

Today's card is not normal. 

I was sorting through some scraps of designer paper - changing the way I stored it - and I happened upon the flowers/dots papers and immediately fell in love with them and decided they needed to be used. From there I chose the yellow designer paper and even the beginnings of the card (the overall design). It wasn't until that point that I chose the stamps to use. 

Yep, totally not my norm. But it seemed to work.
