She Who Has Roses
It's time for a little duel among friends. The Dueling Darlings have been going strong for well over 9 years now - that's just hard to believe. Kelly came up with this fabulous idea and it has been incredible. There are two teams and each month two "hosts", one from each team. The hosts put their heads together and come up with a theme. They then each put together kits for their own team members - but it's all hush-hush. No one (not even the hosts) know what's in the other team's kits. On reveal day we all have fun checking out each others cards.
Today is reveal day (it's the 15th of each month). Dazzler Darlene and Diva Judy are the hostesses this month, which means I received a kit from Darlene, since I'm a Dazzler.
They looked to June's flower for their theme this month, so the theme is...
Thanks for a great theme, Judy and Darlene - and for a lovely kit, Darlene!
Here's Darlene's information about her kit...
The image is from a very old stamp by Uptown Rubber Stamps, "She Who Has Roses". (Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on Recollections 110# stock)
DPs are all from SEI's "Field Notes" pack. (She says she's hoarded and re-purchased this paper pack for several years because she absolutely adores it.)
Ribbons are from Michael's. Rhinestones are from Stampin' UP and the rose die cut is Stampin' UP's Rose Garden thinlits die set.
Be sure to check out the blogs for the Dazzlers and Divas (the links are in my left sidebar) to see what others have made with the kits that Darlene and Judy sent out.
As always...
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
The only thing I used on my card in addition to what was in Darlene's kit was some cardstock (Recollections Black and SU Grapefruit Grove). I used a Spellbinders Oval die to cut out the image she provided.
Definitely a WOW card. I love how you used the rose die cut on the inside.
