There are times when all I know to do is pray. I used to feel guilty about that. A friend would be suffering some loss and I would with all sincerity say to her, "I'm praying for you" and I would pray. At the same time, I'd feel like I should be doing more (and yes, there are definitely times we should do more than pray). I also needed to move away from my idea that it was "just praying" and realize the significance of praying.
That lesson came to me one day when I was feeling exceptionally bad because a friend was hurting and I didn't know what to do besides pray. I told her I almost apologetically that I was praying for her and she replied, "The best thing you can do for me is pray." That changed my perspective. It doesn't mean I shouldn't do more but I need to remember that even as I minister to others, speak up for the helpless or downtrodden, provide for unmet needs, etc., I need to pray for them.
All of those thoughts were running through my mind as I made this card featuring stamps from The Project Bin's Defined stamp set.
The stamp set has a lot of great options for cards, scrapbooks and more:

Your prayers mean so much to those who recieve them. Even without you telling them that you'll pray for them they know in their heart that whenever things seem hard to take, YOU have them in your prayers. Nothing could be more healing then knowing someone out there always cares. Beautiful card.
