Now here's the disclaimer: Some of these daily stay@home challenges are taking more than 10 minutes, but who's counting, right?
Here's what I've accomplished this week...
I have a few too many buttons - okay, way too many buttons. And truthfully, I rarely use buttons on my cards and other projects so why oh why do I need so many? Today I began purging one of my bins of buttons - the ones on the left are keepers, except the ones in the ziplock bag. The ones on the right are still to be sorted/purged. Oh, and that's just one bin - I have three more overflowing bins in addition to it. Did I mention I have way too many buttons???
Day 2 - MON, May 11
As I said, I have way too many buttons, so today I sorted through these two bins of vintage ones. Some of them are buttons that were removed from clothing that had worn out. My grandmother did that - she was so frugal. One removed from one of Grandpa's shirts, she'd tie the buttons together on a string, that way if she needed a complete set of matching buttons, she didn't have to dig through the stash to find the mates.
Once I'd sorted and purged, I put the buttons I would keep into this oversized jar - at least for now. I'm not sure that's where I will continue to store them, but right now I'm liking that look.
Day 3 - TUES, May 12
I purged and organized my loose sheets of 12 x 12" designer papers about a year ago but I didn't do anything with my collection of 6 x 6" papers (pads nor loose sheets). Today I started that process (the picture only shows a portion of my 6 x 6"papers). I've already asked a friend who is a preschool teacher if her students/class would like the papers I purge and she said yes, so I'm having fun sorting and saving papers for the wee ones to enjoy. It's a win/win.
Day 4 - WED, May 13
I have four of these Art Bin storage pieces that hold 6 x 6" designer paper. Today I purged two of them and reorganized the papers I'm keeping into my new (and hopefully more functional) system. When I get the other two purged, sorted and organized, I will show my new system. I'm kind of enjoying this process so I may do that tomorrow.
Day 5 - THUR, May 14
As I hinted yesterday, I did sort through those last two bins of 6 x 6" designer paper, purging quite a bit of it. I hope the preschoolers like the BIG box of papers I'm donating to their classroom. What I have left I now have neatly organized in two open bins (no lids to deal with) that fit in the top shelf of my Ikea Raskog cart. I'll see how I like that. I can always put them on a shelf instead, or even transfer the papers back into two of those four cases (with lids) that I removed them from if I decide that is a better plan.
Day 6 - FRI, May 15
Today I decided to go through one more big bin of assorted buttons, purging (I am getting rid of all shank buttons and oversized ones, plus others that I feel pretty certain I would never choose to use). It is a button by button process so takes a bit of time. I'm putting them into two bins - one for colored buttons and one for neutral buttons. I feel good about how much I've accomplished so far. I only have one more bin (a smaller one, but they are very small buttons) to do plus a bin of shaped buttons.
Day 7 - SAT, May 16
I have the free version of Evernote, which meets my needs fine. However, when I started uploading my many wood-mounted stamps into the inventory earlier in my month-long cycle, it didn't take too long until I'd met the month's quota of uploading data. Not a problem. I simply went on to other projects until the time for a new cycle, which happened a couple of days ago. Today I decided to take advantage of that and uploaded the wood-mounted stamps in my Birthday drawer into my Evernote inventory.
Okay, that's it for this week. Stay tuned to see what I accomplish in the coming week.

WOW - what a button stash Jeanette - I am sure Kelly would have been envious :). What a great way to purge your 6x6 papers too, the thought that the wee ones would enjoy them, makes it easier to part with them. A great re-organization that will pay dividends for years. Well done!
