Today is the day - today IS the day. What day? The day to get messy!!!
On the 12th of each month, Barb, Kelly, Terry and I share a messy card. Well, the card isn't necessarily messy, but we made a mess making it. We call this series the Hot Mess Success Challenge.
This month it started with a piece of torn up corrugated cardboard and three colors of acrylic paint (two shades of green and a yellow).
First I tore away some of the raised areas on the cardboard. Then I used a plastic card to add some of each color of paint onto the distressed cardboard. Placing a piece of white cardstock on top, I gently rubbed all over it to transfer paint onto the paper. I then set it aside to allow time for it to completely dry.
The messy part was over... and that piece of paper became the designer paper for my card.
Here's the inside:
I hope Barb, Kelly, and Terry like my card.
Now let's head over to their blogs to see their messiness, too...

Hi Jeanette! I spotted your card on SCS and just loved your background idea! You've inspired me, so I'm headed to the basement to find a piece of corrugated cardboard. Your MFT stitched layers really showcase your overall design. Your card is just lovely! Blessings!
COOL technique and I love your card!! Great background and colors.
