I choose to focus on Bible Journaling on Sundays when I don't have specific blog commitments. Today is one of those days, and I was needing it. We have been sheltering for a very long time.
a. very. long. time.
It's going okay here in our household, but not without some hiccups along the way. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who has occasionally become edgy and uneasy with being home day after day; week after week.
I needed to be reminded that while it's understandable to feel that way, I can also rest in the assurance that God has this. He does!
I turned to the Psalms and did some reading. I happened upon Psalm 62:8 and stopped to praise God for His trustworthiness. In all circumstances. I poured out my heart to Him - cried on His shoulder, so to speak. And then I grabbed hold to the truth of this Psalm.
God IS my refuge!
(even in the midst of a pandemic)
O my people, trust in him at all times.
Pour out your heart to him
for God is our refuge.
Psalm 62:8

I hear you Jeanette, and you have been sheltering longer than I. We are gradually easing restrictions, but I am staying home as much as possible still... not everyone recognises the need to 'social distance' I discovered this afternoon when I did my first supermarket visit - really off putting as the person was not 'young'!!
Yes, God has 'got' this, and it behoves us to cling to Him and no other. Thank you for sharing this.
Stay safe
Blessings
Maxine
We are blessed to have his strength and shelter from every storm! Even this!
