The Crafters of Faith members take turns choosing the theme (and Scripture) for our monthly post, which takes place on the 7th of each month. I'm a day late this month since I had a design team post on my blog yesterday.
This month it was Sue's turn. This is what she chose...
Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 5:5-8
For you are all sons of light and sons of day We are not of night nor of darkness; so then let us not sleep as others do, but let us be alert and sober. For those who sleep do their sleeping at night, and those who get drunk get drunk at night. But since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation.
Challenge:
Daylight Savings Time begins in March. We’ll see more light as our days get longer. Make a card that illustrates how you shine the light of Christ to others. OR Make a card that illustrates faith, hope or love.
I used one of my favorite Unity stamp sets - See the Light. I thought it communicated well one way that I try to shine the light of Christ - by seeing the good in other people and treating them well.
I hope Sue and the other ladies likes my card.
Stamp Set: Unity See the Light stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copic Markers
Papers: Recollections Black and 110# White and SU Summer Sun CS and Paper Studio Black/White Diagonal Stripes DP
Embellishments: Recollections Rhinestones
Dramatic card Jeanette - love the yellow black and white together like this. What a wonderful way to view others - truly Christ-like.
