One Plus Twelve 2020 - Miss March
It's the 3rd.... the day that Kelly, Barb, and I share our One Plus Twelve cards. One Plus Twelve is an idea that Kelly came up with last year - use one stamp (only one!) to make a card every month. Sentiments are optional. We had so much fun doing this last year that we decided to do it again this year.
This year I chose Aleah Girl from Unity for my one stamp. Truthfully choosing "the" stamp is the most challenging part of this.
If you are interested in seeing my January and February cards, you'll find them by clicking HERE.
This month I decided to try a modified spotlight technique on my card. I did this by stamping the image and them using an oval die to cut out the top part of it. I matted it with black and popped it up off the rest of the image (yes, there is a hole in the image underneath that oval). I first just colored the oval part - after all, that's what I usually see on cards that used the spotlight technique. BUT - I didn't like that look. In fact, it just seemed weird to me. In retrospect, I wish I had captured a photo at that point so I could show you, but I didn't think to take a picture.
Now let's head over to Kelly's blog and Barb's blog to see their March One Plus Twelve cards.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Jeanette---I think this is so pretty. I love the image you have picked and the spotlight technique is perfect for this! Great coloring and such a sweet card.
Super cute. I love the way you spotlighted the image.

Love the technique. I've never tried it but I just might. Card is super cute.
I love how you have framed this wonderful Unity girl!! The perfect card for so many things!!
Aw this is another great example of how to showcase this beauty! I love your double ring for the ovals - it gives the spotlight technique so much more depth!
