I have determined that I have three hobbies - buying stamping/cardmaking supplies, organizing stamping/cardmaking supplies, and making cards. Can anyone else relate?
AND... sometimes it seems like I do more buying (insert embarrassed face) and organizing than actually making cards. I have stamp sets that have seen very little (if any) ink. So what's the solution? For one thing, I joined Barb's Challenge Your Stash group on SCS. We have a monthly theme, chosen by one of our members, and on the 28th of the month we show what we made for that theme... but we couldn't buy a single thing to make it.
Not. a. problem. Have I mentioned I have a lot of stuff???
Barbara chose this month's theme -
"March comes in like a lion, and goes out like a lamb."
The sky's the limit for how you interpret this theme: lions, lambs, wind, rain, spring flowers, anything that old adage makes you think of. Have fun with it!
This card features a Raisin Boat stamp set... because Saturdays are devoted to Victorine Originals/Raisin Boat on my blog. I love this cute little lamb, so it was not difficult to choose to use it. It's from the Raisin Boat Wild About Ewe, Honey! stamp set.
To make my card, I first smeared a bit of Acrylic paint onto white cardstock to create a hillside. I did this in one swift motion - kind of like a burst of March winds.
Then I stamped the lamb and sentiment (after the paint had dried of course) and added some layers of DP and CS and then added three heart-shaped brads. It was super easy to make and fun, too.

I hope Barbara and Barb and the other CYS gals like it.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
