Today is the day - today IS the day. What day? The day to get messy!!!
On the 12th of each month, Barb, Kelly, Terry and I share a messy card. Well, the card isn't necessarily messy, but we made a mess making it. We call this series the Hot Mess Success Challenge.
Some months we have an additional theme too. This month it was to use the color red on our cards.
Okay, let's get to the messy part.
I used a technique that I've only used once before - long, long ago. (Did I ever mention that I do not like messes?!?!?!? Oh, I guess I probably did, every month on these Hot Success posts. But it's the truth. I don't. So when I used this technique years ago and had inky fingers as a result, I decided it wasn't for me. LOL!
Fast forward - Hot Mess Success (a.k.a. Get Messy) and I revisited the Shaving Cream Re-inker "messy!" Technique. It's quite simple. Fill a plate with shaving cream and add a few drops of ink (I used Stampin' UP! Pacific Point and Real Red). Swirl the colors around and then put a piece of paper on top. Lift the paper and remove the excess shaving cream. After drying time it's ready to use.
I used some heart-shaped dies to cut my "messy" paper.
Here's the inside of my card:
I hope Barb, Kelly, and Terry like my card.
Now let's head over to their blogs to see their messiness, too...
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Aw, it's your famous die again - and still knocking it out of the park! I love this technique (tried it with Alice, it as a NO - she tried to eat it, LOL) but your card is so striking. LOVE the fun color combo you've picked - unique and stands out in a crowd. Bravo!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great result from your shaving foam marbling Jeanette - you should do it more often ;). Lovely card!
