For 2020, the Sundays that do not fall on a "designated date" for a blog post will be what I'm calling Sunday Summit posts, which means they will be dedicated to Bible Journaling. This is one of those Sundays. For today's journal entry, I used the February theme (and sub-theme) chosen by the Julie, the leader of the Bible Journaling group on SCS.
Book Theme- Matthew
Word Theme/Phrase- King
I focused on The Final Judgment section of the twenty-fifth chapter of Matthew. In these verses we read about how the King welcomed those on his right, saying "inherit the Kingdom prepared for you..." sighting that they had fed him when he was hungry, gave him something to drink when he was thirsty, etc.
"Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing/ When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?"
The King responded, "I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!"
Oh, to hear the King say
"Come, inherit the Kingdom!"
You can read the entire narrative in
Matthew 25: 31-46
