Hello Handsome

Some stamp sets just scream "Use me!" That's the case with the newest stamp set from The Project Bin - Just Sayin'. This set has so many possibilities!

For my first (of many, I'm sure) card using this fabulous set, I knew KNEW that I wanted to use the Handsome stamp. Why? Because of my son Brock. You probably know, but just in case you don't, Brock is my young adult autistic son. He is one of my greatest joys. I tell Brock stories often, so if you're bored with them, you can just scroll on past this story - but be sure to check out the Just Sayin' stamp set.

When Brock was quite young I started calling him Handsome - and I'll unashamedly say I might also be the one who coached him to respond by calling me Beautiful. As is true of many autistic individuals, once something is learned, it becomes a natural part of life.

Now every work morning, when I go to rouse him from bed, as soon as I walk into his room (he's already awake), I say in a happy voice, "Good Morning, Handsome!" He responds, "Good Morning, Beautiful!" In fact, he will respond with the word Beautiful any time he is called Handsome - and probably would do so for anyone who calls him Handsome. BUT... I like to think it's just for me.

So this is for my buddy Brock -

  1. Wonderful story Jeanette - I love hearing your Brock anecdotes, and that is a beautiful one. Your card is wonderful, made more so by the 'back story' behind the creation of it.
    Blessings
