There is a Bible Art Journaling group on Splitcoast Stampers. I've been part of the group for quite some time. I am inspired by the talent of the other members; they are so artistic. My BAJ style is quite different than what most other people do, but the group members accept me as I am, for which I am most grateful.
Each month Julie (the leader of the group) gives us a theme for a BAJ page. This month's theme was Rejoice/Rejoicing. There are so many verses/passages that fit the theme, but I immediately knew I wanted to focus on the rejoicing that happened when Christ was born.
Can't you just hear the shepherds, out in the fields... first afraid (after all angels appeared) but then rejoicing because the Christ child had been born. They left their sheep (something shepherds never did) to go find the babe.
I didn't want to cover up the Scripture so I stamped onto a piece of vellum and only adhered it on the right side so it can be lifted up to read the verses underneath it.
For unto you is born this day
in the city of David a Saviour,
which is Christ the Lord.
Luke 2:11

Beautiful! I love the idea of stamping on Vellum so you can lift it up and still read the scripture.
So very beautiful, Jeanette!!
