It's a Wash

love LOVE the many watercolor wash cards I see on blogs, Instagram, Facebook, etc. Impressive! I am normally a stamp and color kind of gal but for today's card, I decided to try my hand at the watercolor wash technique.

I just did a random swish (is that a word) of color with watercolor paints and a soaked paint brush.

Once the watercolor was completely dry, I stamped the GORGEOUS Victorine Originals Large Sunflower stamp with a rich black ink and stamped on top of the watercolored piece.

I didn't use the entire image (it would have fit but I decided I liked this look better for this card).

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Stamp: Victorine Originals Large Sunflower stamped with Catherine Pooler Midnight Ink

Papers: Recollections Black and SU Summer Sun CS and Watercolor Paper from an unknown vendor

Water Colors: Artist's Loft

Embellishment: Celebrate It! Ribbon
