Harvest

The Bible Art Journaling group on SCS is hosted by Julie. She gives us a theme to work with each month. For October she encouraged us to create a BAJ project with either a Spirit/Spiritual or Harvest/Feast theme. I chose to go with Harvest.

Not only that, I did multiple styles of projects, which I'll explain a little bit later in this blog post.

First... I created a page in my Journaling Bible (which is what we normally do in Julie's group).

May the nations praise you, O God.
Yes, may all the nations praise you.
Then the earth will yield its harvests,
and God, our God, will richly bless us.
Yes, God will bless us,
and people all over the world will fear him.
Psalm 67:5-7 (NLT)

In addition to this Bible Journaling entry, I did two other projects. After all, I need some samples for my mission trip to Hawaii. YES! You heard that right. I'm going on a mission trip to Hawaii (in just over a week). The mission team will be providing leadership for their Women's Retreat (as well as some other things). I'm leading a breakout entitled Connecting with Christ through Copying, Coloring, and Creativity at the Retreat. We'll look at things like Bible Journaling, Scripture Copying, Junk Journaling with Jesus, Hymnal Journaling, Scripture Mapping, Scripture Visuals, and more.

I created a couple of samples for my breakout around this "Harvest" theme.

A Hymnal Journaling Page:

I normally would leave the page in the hymnal, but since I'll need to conserve weight for the flight, I removed it from the hymnal and adhered it to cardstock for stability.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
