Happy Birthday Beautiful!

The Crafters of Faith members take turns choosing the theme (and Scripture) for our monthly post, which takes place on the 7th of each month.

This month it was Kim's turn. This is what she chose...

Scripture: Psalm 139:13-14
"You formed my inmost being; you knit me in my mother's womb. I praise you, because I am wonderfully made; wonderful are your works! My very self you know."

In our Church, we mark October as "Respect Life Month." We focus on the dignity of human life at all stages. For me, it means protecting innocent unborn children, but also the frail elderly.

Challenge is this: make a card for a pregnant woman (baby shower?) or for a newborn baby...or go to the other end of the spectrum and make a card for an 80th birthday party or 50th wedding anniversary, something for older people.

I decided to use one of my Unity stamps and go with a birthday card for an elderly woman.

I almost used the stamp from the set that says "Lying about our age is WAY easier now that we actually have trouble remembering what the heck it is" but then I was afraid it might offend some of the ladies in the group. Therefore I chose the "Happy Birthday Beautiful" stamp from the set instead.

I hope the ladies like my card.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

  4. What a wonderful card Jeanette - love that image (it's a little too close for my liking) and I must admit that the snarky sentiment appeals to me too!
