Opposites Attract

It's the third Wednesday of August, which means it's the day that Kelly, Barb, and I share our Ready, Set, Go creations. Not sure what that is? Well, it's a lot of fun! And a bit of creativity. And an extreme challenge theme.

Ready, Set, Go is an idea that Kelly came up with over two years ago and she invited Barb and I to join her on the adventure. We take turns choosing the theme, but the idea is for it to be a bit more challenging than just the average theme. Ready? Set? Go!

This month it was Kelly's turn to choose the theme. Here's what she told us...

Opposites ....... attract?

Your challenge this month is to take two things that do not necessarily belong together
and add them to your card in a creative way.

Now, I'm sure you're saying "that girl got too much sun on her vacation!   What does she mean!?"

Think of two OBJECTS, as opposed to a color (like black and white) or a unit (big and small.) For example, a sun and a moon ... fire and water ... you get the idea ;)
Use at least 2 opposing stamps that you would not normally pair together on the same card.
With a little thinking, and a LOT of creativity, you can make two opposite things work together!

Now I will admit I had to think quite a bit about this - which is good for the brain so that's GREAT. I finally decided that rain and sunshine are opposites so that's what i went with.

Ready? Set? Go!

The little hedgehog with the umbrella is a Great Impressions stamp. The sun and clouds are from Taylored Expressions. The sentiment is from Unity.

Be sure to check out Barb's blog and Kelly's blog to see what they did with this Ready Set Go theme!

  2. Song Lyric: Have you ever seen the rain, coming down, a sunny day? I have always liked that song, and although I have seen it, this does not happen often. Your card is adorable, and I love the rainbow colors!!!

  3. What a sweetie Jeanette - and although rain and sunshine are 'opposites', we often see "sun showers" here, and your card reminded me of that.
